Garie Beach YHA is located in a remote seaside valley near Garie Beach in the Royal National Park, 40km south of Sydney.

About Garie Beach YHA
Garie Beach YHA is a wilderness YHA with basic facilities - there is no electricity, fridge or telephone. There is no resident manager on site, therefore you must book in advance to obtain a key.

Make sure you have your pre-paid voucher and membership cards or Aussie Starter cards with you as the volunteer warden may request them.

When you leave Please make sure you do the following when you leave:

Take any rubbish and recycling with you
Make sure the windows and doors are closed
Make sure the gas and water are turned off

Please report and problems or maintenance issues when you return the key or call YHA and ask for the Operations Department on (02) 9261 1111.

Facilities
Bedrooms
There are two bedrooms that sleep 12 people in total. A bunk bed, single bed and double bed with single on top are available in each room. Blankets and pillows are provided but please take your own sleep sheets as these are not supplied.

Lighting
As there is no electricity, lighting is powered by solar energy and set on a timer to turn on at 7pm in the Summer and 6pm in the Winter.

Cooking and Drinking Water
There is a small gas stove and pots, pans, cutlery and crockery are available. Water is provided by tanks outside the YHA, please ensure you boil this water before use. As there is no refrigeration, you may want to take an Esky and ice.

Showers and toilets
An eco toilet in located on the YHA grounds. There are no showers at the YHA, but cold showers are situated in the Garie Beach car park as identified on the map on page 2 (providing there are no water restrictions in place). Please conserve water as this YHA is only on tank water.

Rubbish
Please think about the next guests and take any rubbish and recycling when you leave. There are bins provided at the Garie Beach car park for rubbish disposal.
