Wherever you are in the world it's another hi from Cronulla.

Last month we had two special surfing events, The Shark Island Shootout (for body boarders) and the Billabong Pro Junior (Professional surfers under 21years old).

"The Shoot Out"- all the contestants eagerly meet every morning at 6am to check the swell size and to get the go ahead from contest organisers. Finally after 2 weeks the massive swell that was forecast arrived (biggest in five years). From then on it was thrills, spills and huge wipeouts, and just to prove it here are some photos.

"The Pro Junior" - Unfortunately these girls and Guys who travelled from all over OZ missed the huge swell, however had moderately okay waves to preform their wizardry on the water. It was funny listening to the girls who had just left school and were now going to pursue a career as professional surfers travelling the world. What a dream - we wish them all the best.

For those of you who met Fernando (our resident Chilean surfer) is going this Sunday to Bali for two months then to Brisbane/Noosa and Gold Coast areas before heading back to his favourite spot - Cronulla.

Mikel has returned safely home and after many parties has finally cut his hair and now has a serious job - bummer for Mikel!

Scotty and Danielle (Canadians) together with Ulrich (German) and his girlfriend are about to set off for a journey that will take them to Melbourne, Adelaide, Alice Springs (Ulrich departs) then Darwin over to Cairns and down the east coast. All those months of hard work are finally paying off.

Hope all is good with you and your families, and I trust that plans are already on the table for the next big journey.
