Review from Lonely Planet "Australia", 2004 "Around Sydney -- Royal National Park" "Cronulla Beachouse YHA This is one of the friendliest hostels we've ever visited, run by two gregarious brothers who know 'the Shire' inside out. Facilities are comfy and well maintained, with a cheery vibe from staff and travellers alike. You can also get the key for the Garie Beach YHA (see below), and it's a great place to join others doing the 26km coastal walk or to get your surfing skills up. Catch the train to Cronulla Station, and keep walking left until you reach Kingsway. Wheelchair accessible." "Garie Beach YHA This small (12-bed), basic (no electricity or phone, bring food) and secluded hostel is close to one of the best surf beaches in NSW. You need to book, collect a key and get detailed directions from the YHA Membership & Travel Centre ... or from Cronulla's YHA. The nearest food store is 10km away." 2-Oct-2011 A great place to stay! Staff are super helpful, friendly, and go above and beyond to help you out. Has all the amenities close by, and a well large well stocked kitchen, complete with pool table and internet. A good vibe, residents are friendly, many of which have been there for a while working on jobs organised though the hostel. Safe and secure. Probably the best place we've stayed in 5 months! |

28-Feb-2011 Someone in the office realised they had a few 30+ women staying. Used their brain and put us in the same dorm. It was an amazing example of synchronicity, saving us from the 18-20 mad life experience and gave us an awesome opportunity to socialise and to do the needed work, study and sleep. We had a great time and have made some significant professional and personal contacts. Thanks guys Deb. |
