Cronulla YHA is 45 minutes north of the world-class hang gliding site, Bald Hill, Stanwell Park, located on the Illawarra South Coast between Sydney and Wollongong, NSW. Hang glider pilots from around the world, flock to this renowned and historic hang gliding destination.

Bald Hill, Stanwell Tops, is at the southern edge of the Sydney Royal National Park on the New South Wales, Australian East Coast.

This coastal mountain range provides smooth lift, spectacular scenery, and the chance to spot marine life as you fly hundreds of feet above the beaches. After a 25 minute tandem hang gliding flight, you and your instructor will softly touch down on beach of Stanwell Park, NSW.

There's no experience necessary to enjoy this aerial adventure! All ages can go hang gliding! There is a weight maximum of 100kg.

The train travel time to this hang gliding mecca is approximately one hour from Cronulla or Sydney Central. A free pick-up can be arranged from the Stanwell Park train station by one of the commercial hang gliding operators.

Warren Windsports Hang Gliding School - Curt Warren is a two-time USA national hang gliding champion and now shares his passion through tandem hang gliding flights. Curt has circled the globe while instructing and competing in places such as Brazil, Costa Rica and Russia. He and his crew offer instructional courses certified by the Hang Gliding Federation of Australia. His website and Blog include some amazing pics and stories.

Sydney Hang Gliding Centre - Fly tandem with Chris Boyce from Sydney Hang Gliding Centre. Chris is a senior pilot that has been flying for about 30 years and also operates year round. Chris offers a safe and memorable experience.

Hang Glide Oz - Owned and operated by Tony Armstrong. Tony, another senior tandem pilot, has been flying for around 30 years. Tony's family operated business has been providing enjoyable aerial adventures since 1987.
