As an Australian YHA backpacker hostel manager and a fellow traveller who has been to quite a few countries backpacking myself, I offer my advice to help your travels around Australia go a little bit smoother. I am aware that every traveller wants to get the most for the least amount of money. I believe the backpacking traveller's motto should really be "Time is not the problem it's only the money".
